Study Abroad Program: Georgia Tech Lorraine

What’s up!? My name is Ankita Tippur, and I’m a second year at Georgia Tech. During my first year at Tech, I was a member of the Freshman Activities Board, the Circle K Service Organization, the SGA Academic Affairs Board, and started working in the NanoMAD Lab at GT under Dr. Yury Chernoff. Next semester, I will be a Math TA and will hopefully (fingers crossed!) get into the SympVibes Acapella Group. Outside of Tech stuff, my interests are playing basketball and badminton, watching “House” and “How I Met Your Mother” (awesome shows…don’t hate), singing Queen and Pink Floyd in the shower, and doing random stuff on Tech’s campus.

This summer, I’ll be at Georgia Tech Lorraine in Metz, France, for 11 weeks. Of course, I’m going to be taking a few classes here at GTL. However, on the weekends, I’m going to try to hit every major city in central Europe (Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Brussels, Berlin, Prague) and ball it up over the semester! I’ve travelled a lot internationally before (my parents are originally from India), but I’m really excited to be travelling for the first time on my own. It’s going to be an awesome experience!

Thanks for the opportunity, I’m looking forward to the experience (and the blogging!)
