Major: Global Economics and Modern Languages
Year: 3rd Year
Hometown: Marietta, GA
Study Abroad Program: China LBAT

大家好!My name is Kate Bohlmann and I just finished my second year at Georgia Tech. I’ve participated in both Chorale and Women’s Chorus at Tech, and I’m currently the President of the Women’s Chorus. I also recently joined Bridge Club, and I’m a member of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America’s National Youth Leadership Council, which raises advocacy and awareness for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis through youth-focused activities and fundraising.

This summer I’m studying abroad on the China LBAT. The Chinese LBAT is a 6 week intensive language-learning program in Shanghai. Shanghai Jiaotong University is hosting our program, so all 26 students on the LBAT are staying here and taking classes

on campus from two of our professors from Georgia Tech. For the six weeks we’re all completely immersed in the language and culture, and I can’t wait to see just how much I can learn from this experience!
