I just finished my first year at Georgia Tech, and it has been so much fun! Last year, I was a member of a freshman leadership organization, FreShGA, an organization that plans an all night event to help Tech students relax before finals in the fall semester. I was also part of YEP, a mentorship program for kids at a local boys and girls club in Atlanta. Later in the spring I joined ONE, an organization that raises national awareness about global poverty and preventable disease. I am really excited to be part of Lambda Sigma, the sophomore national honor society next year. I’ll be Service Chair, and I can’t wait to start up some great service programs for the organization!
This summer I have the opportunity to participate in the Oxford Study Abroad program, for which I am so excited! We start off with four weeks of travel throughout Europe, during which we visit Florence, Rome, Venice, Vienna, Prague, Berlin, Brugge, and Paris. The next six weeks are spent in Oxford, England, which is a quick train ride from London. We will be taking four classes while abroad, which for me will be Art History, Music, Computer Science, and History of Medieval England. This summer is going to be the most eye opening experience I’ve had, and I cannot wait for it to begin!
